Hi Guys,
just have been reading some news and there is product called
Parallels Desktop 3.0.

This version should now support 3D acceleration on Mac OS X.You should be able to run on any Mac OS hardware(not only with Intel CPU) Windows with 3D hardware accelaration if you have 3D graphic card.

Hopefully it will be enteresting and helpfull for some guys.

PCI has theoretical bandwith just 133MB/s !
In fact it will be like 100-110MB/s.Thats really not so much.

When you have 2 cards in PCI-E slot they can output up to 4 screens if SLI is not enabled.
PCI-E bus has more then bandwuth for this purpose.

Also maybe the CPU might be really limitting for 3 screens as I guess with softTH its the CPU who dispatch the graphical data for each of the card.I really dont know exactly how this program works.Maybe you could dd a test just to overclock the CPU by 200Mhz and see if there is any FPS difference.Might be interesting to test.

its the driver.I remember having few times the same problem in other games some time ago.

its not broken graphic card dont worry.

I am curious if 2 graphic card in 2x PCI-E slots could help to increase a performance as the old PCI slot is very limited with the bandwith.

If you dont enable SLI it should work I think but I have really no idea.Also the AMD 4000+ might be another limiting factor.For example E6600 should increase the performance.

if you are racing on the servers with like 25-30 people thats pretty normal for your config.Your PC cant cope with so many players on the server.

Well with the latest system which have decent graphic card you could play LFS at max graphical setting right now.Even with like 2-4xAA+16AF.

The small problem with the latest one is HD which have just 2MB cache.This is really not good for performance and the PSU.

Also I would wait due to price cut againt from Intel on C2D at 222nd July.

The 350W power supply is not good if you dont wnat to have a problems with stability later.It would rule out basically any upgrade of graphic card from 8600GTS and up.I would recommend at least 450W powersupply with such a system.The cheap PSU in such a systems are really not good one.

You will be pushing the PSU with such a system to the limits.

no need to have reason for kick/ban.It slows the system and I dont remember any other games having such a feature.

I understand you.It must be frustrating for manz people in Russia.We have been in same situation in Czech republic like 4 years ago.

Only 56K modem or WIFI with like 64/64kbit speed and bloody data limitation.No ADSL at all.We even dont have SDSL which would be having prize for average people.I guess it will get beter in Russia in next 5 years as well.

I have nowdays 100 times faster line(Cable modem)and 40GB data limit which is more then enough and what I pay against what I have paid for 56k modem or my 1st 192kbit ADSL is half of the price.

Since Vista came out I see people having so many problems with it and dont know where to turn on/off things.

Even for me and I started in DOS ages the 1st time Vista was frustrating for me.Not really a straight forward to find something you really need to find.To be honest I formateted it after a week and went back to Windows XP.

you need to allow new LFS.EXE file in your firewall especially in the bloatware Vista thingy:-).The checksum changed for the firewall so it looks like new program.Common problem.

How often you need to download official patch....
It takes 2hours on modem connection so thats really not so bad if its once in a long time period.I dont see a problem with that.Look at other games patches with even hundreds MB.

26MB is really not so much even for modem traffic and yes I have started playing LFS on the modem and downloaded every content on modem for a long time as well.you can donwload the X patch standalone as well!!!

Someone asked above why it was 26MB.It went towards the DDS files of the LFS default skins.

I think the 8 people ban is really not so bad.8 people need to ban someone is really quite high number and ofcourse after big changes there will be always similar thread because its a big change and some people dont like big changes...pretty normal situation in realife as well.Maybe Scawen will adjust the system a bit.Everything new always need a bit polishing before it can be perfect but to say I really like the current system.

Even before there were servers where was easy to ban someone if these people has "agreed" to ban someone just for the "fun".It will be always like that no matter system you will set up.

The problem is that before the W48 & X patch we have been suffering much with the previous voting system.The race/testing were ruined by several morons on the test servers and with so many people on the server it was impossible to get rid of these guys.It was really frustrating.You say that some people ban for fun but sometimes also other people dont care to ban someone if this really needed.To find the balanced system to suit everyone will be never possible.Someone need to use the force to make the changes when really needed - Scawen. And dont worry DEVs really care about their comunity which is what I really like on LFS.

maybe Scawen will raise the number.Who knows.Please dont start the flame.It was tested however that it was almost impossible to ban some morons on server with high number of players.

This should be in Suggestion section not in General section.
